How Will I Get There!?
For Guests who are flying in, a rental car from the airport is going to be the most convenient way to get around the area. Ride share companies tend to take 15-30 minutes to arrive if you want to go that route. When looking for local transportation here are a few things to keep in mind:
- This whole area is in effect, the suburbs of Washington D.C. which means ride shares (while easily obtainable) can get expensive due to distance and traffic.
- We have decided that it would not be feasible for us to pick up all the flyers from the airport (sorry!) so we would suggest getting a rental from whatever airport you decide to fly into or make other arrangements for local transportation.
- Dulles International Airport (IAD) is the closest airport. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the second closest airport. Check out the directions page for information about approximate drive times.
- For those wanting to check out the sites of Washington D.C. while they are here, note that this is the closest and easiest Metro station to get to in order to take a train to D.C. and parking can be done in this garage for a reasonable rate. And this station is only 5 minutes from Dulles International Airport (IAD). NOTE: You do not want to drive into D.C.!
